The fashion alphabet: the best of Lombardia

The kings of Milano fashion industry (and surroundings)

Everyone knows it as the capital of italian fashion industry. And it’s not only because of the amount of luxury boutiques in the city centre (Galleria Vittorio Emanuele) or its famous streets of fashion, as Via Monte Napoleone and Via Spiga.

If the fashion world has found its home in Milan, there must be a good reason behind it!

F as (GIANFRANCO) FERRE’

Painting lover and with a degree in architecture , Gianfranco Ferrè has always been able to follow the rules of fashion without ever neglecting his creative extravagance and genius.

His creations has a very linear shape, almost sculptural, and mostly prefer highly bright and  full colours, like white, pure and elegant and the perfect match to every bridal wedding dress.

M as MISSONI

The city of Verese is where this fashion house grew, but it has to been said that Ottavo Missoni’s inspiration and “multicolour” style were born in Croatia.

The many “patterns” and different colours whose Missoni’s creations are made by, identify a very loved fashion style all around the world, universally known and easily recognized.

Tatiana Santo Domingo wore Missoni at her wedding with Andrea Casiraghi in 2013

R as (LORENZO) RIVA

His love for wedding dresses is so strong that he always choose incredible fairy-tale designs as last clothing pieces of his runaway shows; Lorenzo Riva “got married” with the fashion industry when he was still a child in love with fashion, and since then his love hasn’t wavered even slightly.

An hopeless romantic…

V as VALENTINO

Always travelling between Italy, Paris, London and New York, Valentino is one of Italy most famous and appreciated fashion stylist.

His creations made the history not only of the italian fashion industry, but also history of colours!
In fact, carrying its name is the “Valentino” red, a bold shade witch mix carmine red, purple and cadmio red.

A good reason to ditch the classic white wedding dress!

Or maybe not…
