Idyllic wedding: Villa Grock, Imperia (Liguria)
Villa Grock is a heap of eclecticism, fantasy and magic, ideal for a long-awaited wedding. Originally, it was the holiday’s villa of the king of the clowns Adrien Wettach, alias Grock, an international star between the late nineteenth century and the early fifties of the twentieth century. The villa, overlooking the hill Oneglia, became the permanent residence of the artist until 1959.
Purchased by the Province of Imperia, the villa is called the “Stone Circus”, for its many architectural details that recall the world of circus. Villa Grock will seduce you with its Art Nouveau style but also with its influences from the eastern world and from many Grock’s peers, such as Picasso, Dali and Gaudì. A very nice and evocative detail of the villa’s park is the little lake, which was used by Grock also as a swimming pool. At the center of the lake there is an island with a small temple, which can be reached through a small bridge.
We suggest a wedding at the Villa Grock to all the couples that love to be surprised and are looking for magical and dreamy atmospheres. The villa and its park can be booked for the photo shoot only, or for the civil ceremony and reception too.
Villa Grock fairytale is waiting for you!
